Miami has been grazed by another storm. Matthew tore up several islands and promises to damage the East coast of Florida. In Miami it was no big deal except at the coast. They say it may swing around and revisit Florida. We will have to wait and see.

Just starting to arrive here in North Fl. I have never seen a track like this. See where it is predicted to be come Wednesday!

It does not appear to be over yet.

My son lives just about 4 miles inland from cape Canaveral. He and his wife left yesterday morning and wound up in a motel in Fort Walton.
Hoping to head back tomorrow depending on power and how bad of damage.

It's a little sporty over here on the Tampa Bay side, but nothing Derek wouldn't fly in %^@
The neighbor just told me the fire dept was out last night, along with Duke Energy, watching the wooden pole and power line in my back yard throw sparks and flaming debris half the night in the general direction of my roof... we slept right through the ruckus and no one bothered to call or knock. Okaaaay...
One of the trees down the line, not sure who's, must have swayed in the wind enough to pull on the top line, which is the high power one. Both departments decided there was nothing to do until there was an actual fire or full power outage, so decided to leave. Nice. My neighbor said she couldn't sleep for worrying about us and kept an eye on it until it stopped. It is great to have good neighbors... but I'll be having a nice long talk with Duke when they get caught up over on the other coast...

Mathew went by the west palm beach/ Jupiter/ Stuart area last night. For the most part we got 50 mph winds with some higher gusts. Lots of leaves blown off trees but nothing major, here in Jupiter we did not lose power. Shutters are opened and cars are out of the garage. Today will be a building day, hope to fly tomorrow.

My younger daughter lives on Tybee Island just off Savannah part of the time though she's here at home right now. She's thinking to fly out there next week and see what's left. There is a boat, Jeep and truck there along with household goods. Told her they may change the name from Tybee to Bald Knob- she didn't care for the humor....

As I posted elsewhere.
I have been trying to contact Walter Umland with no luck. I hope he is ok.

It looks like the storm is headed out to sea and will not be any more of a problem.
