DOC's Lively Lady
« on: June 11, 2020, 05:53:59 PM »
Thanks to Dalton Hammett I received the plans.  Have finally got a start on it.  As there is no definite date other than ad that showed the kit is in the 70's.   Some unusual control set up that I may change, but the overall appearance should be the same.  Have the engine mount in the fuse sides,  the trailing edges marked and ribs ready.  Had to go to Hobby Lobby for the 1/8 sheets and just picked up the 1/4 sheets and 1/4 square from Hobby Haven.  They still haven't got their shipment from the supplier. Can't believe I spent two days on this.  First pic is wing in inverted position.  Second pic is in up right position. D>K

Well with temps limiting my out side work I managed to get some more done.  First pics are wing planked and cap stripped.  My adjustable lead out pic.  Wing tips are being laid up for shaping. D>K

There are supposed to be 4 new pictures, but every time windows updates the computer I have trouble.  The one picture shows the tail skid for the Lively Lady.  You will notice Kevlar thread is used,  I did this on another plane with good results.  Could not find my copper wire and using a sewing needle this was faster and I think stronger as the thread did not break when pulling it tight.  Got the idea from a free flight article. D>K

Am now on the lap top.  It worked in the building hints.  The pics are of the framed fuselage and the wing tips ready to be tack glued to wing. ???

Just got the lap top out of the repair shop.  The hard drive went south after going crazy for a bit.  Repairman also added more space.  So I tried down loading pictures from camera card.  Some detail work I do to all planes.
