Getting tuned up for the Cheezehead Fun Fly
« on: July 15, 2008, 05:32:10 PM »
Well today Ryan and I went out with our Tutor 2's. We are getting ready to fly with our buddy's in Cheezehead country.
We both put up three flights each. It was a little windy but we have to learn how to fly in it right?
Each time I did the beginner pattern I left something out. Boy am I getting rusty. Forgot the wing over and then the square. Sheeze.
I have to get use to this tank. I put way to much fuel in it each time. But heck after the pattern, I was just punching holes for the fun of it. #^
Ryan was doing outside squares today!!! Somebody teach this kid how to fly the full pattern PLEASE!!!!  He is beyond me. n~
And can he whip the plane around and land. One was one of the best landings I ever saw on grass.

Here are a few photos...

PS - I called my cheezehead buddy harleyman so he could hear the engine on Ryan's plane. I got vmail. He called me back to say he was working from home again. IN HIS POOL!!!!

It started with just 3 folks. Ryan (my oldest son) and I met Joe Connelly on SSW message boards. We then found Chris Sterner and Bob. Then Dave Siegler, Mike S. and Dennis V.  and others. So there are about eight pilots that show up. We make a day of it flying on my father-inlaws farm. I think a few more folks may show up.

Stay tuned for the youtube video of Cheezehead 2008!!! ( I am sure there will be a few of them.) #^
