Just got my Dallas Model Aircraft Association newsletter.  My participation in club activities is down to sometimes judging and making an occasional contribution to the raffle.  So it is not a personal brag for me to pass on that eight of the top 20 in Open PA were DMAA members.  Other members did well in other events, to numerous to mention here.  I'm pleased to be a member, and a member of the Lafayette Esquadrille in St. Louis as well.

Can't help to be proud of our members of DMAA. It goes way beyond the great showing in stunt. DMAA had wins in Speed, Racing,m Combat  and Carrier. They also helped to run all these events. As usual we are proud of Linda Gleason who is the stunt pit boss every year. Linda and Dale are the spark plugs that keep us going.

DMAA had volunteers helping in most events. Runners, Pull testing, Timing, and Judging. These include Frank Williams, Bill Rutherford, Mike Scott, Kathleen and Doug Patterson, Bill Bishoff, Mike Greb,  Bill and Sandra Lee, Melvin and Brenda Schutted, and grand Daughter Makala, Tom Fluker, Patrick Hempel, Steve Perkins, Allen DeVeuve, Mike Wilcox, Richard Stubblefield, Mike Gibson, Bob and Elaine Brrokens, Jim Burt Smith, Doug, Jake and Steve Moon, Bob and Christy Gieseke, Richard and Edie Oliver, Joe and Coleen Gilbert, Joe Bowman and Nan Beavers, Frank and Marilee McMillan, Andy and Janice Stokey, Bob and Dina Redman, Les Demett, Rich Giacobone, Gary McClennan, Jason and Shannon Greer.

Hopefully many can attend the DMAA biggest contest of the year: The Southwestern/ Charles Ash contest, Aug. 31, Sept. 1, 2013
