Post by: Tim Redelman on June 10, 2022, 10:31:57 AM
What size tank are you running with your Discovery Retro 68?
All synthetic?
What brand?

Tim: I run the DR 68 and use a Sullivan 4 oz fuel tank.
As for fuel, I use Sig FAI fuel 10/10 synthetic/castor.
It takes about 3.625 oz of fuel to fly the full pattern and
about 6 laps after completing the pattern.

Hi Steve.  One question, what is the diameter of your venturi ?
 Thank you, Massimo

So far the best running DR.68 I’ve seen had 14-15% of Maxima #927 oil, no nitro.
No need to change the venturi (or anything) from the factory setup. L

Hi Lauri, I have two DR.68 that I have never used. They came from Yuriy, one has an 8.4mm venturi and the other is 9mm.  If I have to be honest they seem a little big to me, especially the 9 mm

Nah .

tho it relates to plane size / drag . & weight . Might want smaller sub 60 Oz plane . ST 60 are generally  .312 BJ .  .30 to .320 tho nowadays some run .185 - .195 .

So in a biggish plane the sizes there & the atmosphereic bit , temp & barrometer , would fit . Cripes ive had a FSR 25 run good on a 7.5 m.m. ! with a 3.5 mm spraybar .
