Check your account if you have one. Good news maybe.

I have a problem with this. I changed banks since the last time I got a tax refund. Last year, for the first time in ever, I had to pay additional taxes instead of getting a return. I suppose they'll have the bank info from that. Maybe. Or I'll have to wait till they mail checks. Joy.

Did you see that State Farm Insurance is refunding $1,000,000 to their customers? If you're a State Farm customer (I am) and you think about it, your share will be somewhere in the region of 2 cents, so it doesn't excite me very much. I'm sure somebody out there will be expecting a huge refund.  LL~ Steve

Yeap, a surprise in a way.  Daughter had hers 2 days ago.  Got new doors for the shop.  Lowes wanted over $800.00 for three doors.  Home depot had the doors I wanted for a little over #400.00.  Now to get them changed out.  Have a before pic if I could get the computer to down load my camera.  Nobody will fess up to changing things. I got a balsa order in for a couple new planes and the rest will be my Nats travel money (if we have one-they cancelled the Indoor Nats yesterday but that was much sooner).  I took a few weeks off work to avoid this scourge.  I've already discovered that when I DO retire I'll create another national balsa shortage.......

Well Mike I haven't yet.  Maybe I'll do that.  I won't be able to compete but I planned to bring some airplanes.  I'll bring a stunter to fly some warm-up flights, and maybe some FF stuff to play with after hours.  I'll bet I can squeeze a combat ship in.  Biggest issue I've had with my other combat jobs is all I ever used was pacifiers and I am unable to find any good ones.  I got some new 'old stock' pacifiers that rarely will go a flight with blowing-if I even get it off the ground.  I've thought to try some pieces of surgical tubing but haven't messed with it lately.  If I figure that out I'll bring the Vampire and let you put it up.

Cool!  We'll do some of that.  I have some HLG, 1/2 Spacer, Ramrod 600 and maybe I'll get an OTer or my Nordic A2 going.  Maybe a free flight night for stunt guys!

We're holding on to ours until we see how this all shakes out.

If this mess will ever pass, and IF our economy starts coming back and things are looking stable, then we'll began to use portions of it for needed items.

If you filed your 2019 tax return and received a direct deposit refund you probably received your money already.  However if you owed money and paid by mailing in a check, you (like me) probably have not received your Donald Trump care package money.  If you do nothing it will, perhaps, come by mail.

To speed things up you can go to the IRS.gov web sight and check on your payment.  When I did this it informed me that the IRS  did not have my direct deposit information.  If provided two options.  First option was for me to provide the bank information and they would do the direct deposit.  Second option was that if I chose not to provide this information or did not have a valid bank account they would send a check to address they have on record.

I chose option one.  They then asked for verification information.  SS #, home address, and some 2019 tax info.  After I inputted this information they said my check would be direct deposited.

Anyway hope this helps.   PS if you do get your money and really don't need it you local church or favorite charity are doing good work during these rough times.  My church gets 10% as a minimum.  y1   #^

Yesterday I gave the IRS my checking account info, (see above).  Today I checked the IRS site and it stated that I was setup to for direct deposit.  The site also said that I could check the site one a day.  The site gets updated once a night.  When my scheduled date for the direct deposit was established it would be posted.    All good stuff.   #^    #^   #^

I file electronically and just started getting SSA this year.  I did hurry up and file my 2019 return as I was working FT and collecting one of my pensions in 2018 so would not have qualified for the full amount.  I retired the first of 2019.

I did find out, even tho IRS has your direct deposit information from prior filings, they won't use that UNLESS you got a refund.  If you pay additional taxes (as I do) then you have to log onto https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment and confirm your deposit info.

I've not yet seen a check but the IRS site says they have my info and will see a deposit soon.   NEVER use any site other than the IRS site.   Lots of scammers are licking their chops to cash in.

100% of my $2400 will go to paying my state taxes.  I did a ROTH conversion last year and, although they withheld federal taxes, they don't deduct state taxes.
