I'm not buying that unless I hear official word from the NTSB. As experienced as the pilot of the P-63 was, I would think his first reaction to hitting anything would be to pull up and out of formation, and declare an emergency at that same instant. The video is so grainy, and without the circles super imposed into the video, I can't really say that I see anything. Certainly nothing big enough to stop an Allison running at cruise RPM, and the airplane change flight path. My question is, what does "PM Affected" mean? And how can you tell if the engine had stalled and an attempt was made to restart the engine? That whole sequence in the clip is just a very few frames, and hardly enough time to say "Oh @#$%!" much less go through the motions of restarting an already running engine. I think this will be eventually determined to be a hoax.

Let's say it's true-the drone would have to be travelling at a speed very similar to the KING cobra, ( The drone loses speed over 4 seconds of tape - approx the length of the fighter)
Question-
How fast can drones travel?
If it was a 'drone' or very fast RC racer of some type, there would be other footage or statements from folks watching through telescopic lenses, binocs etc SURELY?
Last thought, if it ( whatever it is - if indeed it exists ) was real, obviously it didn't collide, otherwise it would have been shattered into nothing visible.?

More questions than answers here

Another thought .
If - and I say IF a drone was flying along side the Cobra, could it explain why the pilot MAY - and I say MAY have been distracted??

I'd suggest sensible/ appropriately qualified folk review all photos, videos and eye witness accounts to explain this shadowy object .

If it's supposed to be where I think it's implied, it's probably just hovering , recording video or still photos. They are quite a way from air show center when the collision takes place, and a lot of separation ( or was supposed to be) of all aircraft. Not the best location for any kind of photo op.

What I've read about the "drone theory" elsewhere, the conclusion has been that it's a hoax created by somebody editing in the speck that is supposed to be a drone. Whoever does this sort of stuff...if it is indeed a hoax...is distracting the NTSB from doing their job and should be hunted down and either prosecuted or presented with a fine of about $100k. IMHO.  y1 Steve

In 1944 18-20 year old's stormed beaches, and parachuted behind enemy lines to almost certain death.  In 2015 18-20 year old's need safe zones so people don't hurt their feelings.

That's right.....I've seen all the vids and none of them show this speck or drone.
I hope the FAA/FBI can find out who did this...

This is the first I have heard of this being a possible cause.
Would I put it past some "professional photographers" to basically not care about the potential hazards they subject others to in order to line up THAT PERFECT MONEY SHOT...?

Yeah right, this time coming from the "EurAsian Times"? I wouldn't consider them even remotely credible, and they've basically copied their "story" from one of the other crap conspiracy theorists doing the same.
The drone "stories" going around about this tragic event are total bulls--t, sickening in fact. They're nothing more than an incredibly disrespectful theory created by some ignorant a-holes that have no business even commenting. This was a terrible accident and good people died, it's a time to show some respect.

As a reality check, see Reply #31 in the other thread on this subject...

Yeah, I saw someone post that on Twitter, does not seem congruent with the evidence and NTSB report.
