I am 71, but when I fly my Bi-Slob I am 16 again. I can still fly a "nice" pattern once in a while, and still ride my Harley. I will have been retired for 7 years in march, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Mark, 25 only 2 times? In a mere 2 years, it will be 3 times for me, and I am just getting started again in C/L. I have only been back into C/L for 3 years and 2 months.

My older brother flies FF. They're not spring chickens either.
But, as I get older, I'm getting stronger. Years ago, my thing would stick out and I couldn't do anything but stare and admire. Now I find that I can make it bend a little bit.
I used to only be able to carry a bag of groceries that cost about $25. Now I can carry one with $35 - $40 worth of stuff in it. And not just bran flakes, either.
-
I am right on the average, if this is 2001!

I guess I'm well short of the average at 55! I'm just getting back into the sport after almost 40 years.
I still race a TZ250 though, so I must be younger than I think!? ???

Quite a number of years ago when I was approaching 50, I devised a math problem for my then young daughter. The question was, if I started counting backwards and she continued to count birthdays normally, when would we be the same age? Well, this year (2011) we both celebrated our 29th birthday with a big party!
Now, here is a problem for all you math whizzes out there; I devised the problem in 1991, how old am I?
Man! Where does time go... when it's not around here?

Well, I might be on the old pfhart category -- I started building and flying models in 1936, entered my first contest in 1941 (just before the war broke out) Have flown Speed,Stunt, Rat Race, AMA Scale Race, AMA Team Race, AMA Fast and slow combat, 1/2A combat, FF power, Hand launch glider outdoor, Towline glider RC pattern, Ane a whole host of offshoot events. All were fun.
There was never a year that went by that I did not have a plane and fly during the year sometime
I,m now 81 and shooting for 90+.
