Last I heard, he was enjoying full size car engines in some form of motor sport!

Spoke with him about 3 weeks ago at our state championships.

Was very impressed with some of the electric setups - and fully understood the practical benfits - Hes an automotive journalist and is enjoying his time away from the hobby.
