I feel your pain, quite literally. I went through the exact same thing in 2005. Sudden onset while at work, became severe pain by evening, trip to the ER that night and surgery early in the morning. Spent the next 2 days feeling like a pro wrestler had spent time jumping up and down on my abdomen!
Sure hope you have a speedy recovery!

Dennis: It took guts to do that! Humor aside, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. All the best.

Dennis: I always thought you had a lot of gall, but now I'm rethinking that... ;)
Get better quick old buddy, flying season is upon us.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and Prayers, they were answered. I got released yesterday and it was good to get home (no more 3AM blood draws). Still getting back on solid food and have energy to do much, should get stronger within the next week or so. The gallbladder attack is no fun, lots of intense stabbing pain. It is something that I would have them checked regularly, if I knew then (in my 30's) what I know now I would have done more regular doctor checkups. We'll suck it up and get through.

I had an attack of pancreatitis on easter, had an endoscopic surgery to clean out my bile duct on April 22 and Gall bladder removal on the 23 (My Birthday). Total of 5 days in hospitals. Not a fun way to loose weight.

Last April I had my gall bladder removed,, Didn't even know it was bad,, Then in May I had my left kidney removed. The surgeon used a robot.. Left about ten small 1 inch slits, all sealed with super glue.. The Navy removed part of my right lung.. I figure by the time I am buried, I'll be hollow. LL~

The old Doc has been lucky(knock on wood), was not gale bladder but a kidney stone. Pain hurt like every thing right after I would try to eat or drink something. Almost a week in hospital. Finally to surgery. So far no more stones. D>K

Doc, thoughts and prayers for you. I am out a week and starting to get to move around the house some. I am a side sleeper, and those hospital beds don't let you get comfortable. I did fine that going to YouTube for sleep music helped get me through the first few nights. I also found a new pillow that has a hole for your ear (on amazon ~$15), this takes pressure off your ear, so good. Feel better soon.
