Dee Rice's Judging Column in CLW
« on: September 27, 2008, 06:30:38 AM »
Dee wrote a terrific piece on judging in the most recent issue of Control Line World....the "ABC's" whereby he assigns a letter grade to maneuvers.....
Very well thought out, although I believe that his projections yield scores that are too high. BUT it should be a MUST READ for all of those that judge!
Thanks Dee

My friends would say it can't get any bigger....... I tend to disagree!

Can I buy an electric setup from you?

I only sell Z-Tron timers. The best I can do is give you the list of sources which is already in CLW. If you have any questions PM or e-mail me.

I think the Stunt contest flyer's would do well to look at how other SIG groups score their contests. I suggest that interested flyer's should look at the AMA Pattern rules and the AMA Sport aerobatic (IMAC) rules. There is nothing wrong with using good ideas that are found in other venues. In both of these groups, the problems of the shortage of judges and scoring subjectiveness have been basically solved. They are not perfect, but they have made great improvements. Remember, C/L Stunt is not the only aerobatic event in model aviation.  :P
