Thanks for the advice, Charles.
I've done many ink-jet decals, for the most part with very good results.
I recently purchased as brand called Dowsabel and they were pretty bad.
Lots of haloing and many just did not stick - fell right off.
Can you recommend a good brand of clear decal paper for ink-jet printers?
THANKS again,
Bob Z.
Bob,
I really wish I could but I don't do decals, I just do vinyl. I will say, the higher the resolution the better.
I suggested the guy's "team up."
Make a list of the papers which have been used and talk about the results.
Process of elimination will yield the best paper and methods.
I have strong feelings about using 3rd party people. The expense, sure, but doing things by yourself is great.
Although I provide vinyl graphics for modelers, I've always said you can get all the vinyl you want for free at your local sign shop.
Said this many times. Guys are already skilled with a #11 blade, so the cutting part might take a bit of time, but it can be done. Eventually you can build speed.
We used to cut vinyl this way long before there were vinyl cutters. True.
