Full as a tick. We had 21 folks go out to a catfish place. Good food and great service. I should have stayed away from the pie!
Any way a few more photos from the day.

Last set for tonight.

We had a good time at dinner. Sat at the table with Jerry and Mary Phelps along with Charlie and Nancy Reeves, Jim and JoAnn Lynch and John Simpson. What a funny bunch. LL~
All in all it was a fun day.
I will not get to post any more photos until I get home. So it might be a day or so until I up load anymore.
I hope to have scores as well as more photos.

Tomorrow is PA..... Stay tuned.

Who's owner of the green V-Tail plane?   Looks a lot like Dennis Adimisin's  Sweet Pea.

  I pulled in the driveway at 6PM on the dot. I flew like crap all weekend, but had a great time anyway. Allen, Chrlie, and the Paducah club put on a good event and a pretty nice flying site. If you haven't attended this contest, consider it next year.                                If anyone out there lives near John Ashford, drop a line in here that he got home OK. He had an issue with a leaking transmission gasket on his van. He fixed in the hotel parking lot, and when I left the field today, he was still trying to determine if he had the fluid level correct to drive home. We were just a mile or so from an auto parts store, and after talking to John and assessing the situation, he felt confident that he could get home OK once he had bought some more tranny fluid. I would just like to know he got home OK. I don't think I left him stranded or anything, but want to make sure. Any one know what part of the country he lives in?
    Thanks in advance,

Allen and Charlie ran an awesome contest, ditto what has been said that it is well worth the trip next year.  A big thanks to my man Dan for loaning me a profile and his Ringmaster for profile and old time (never flew old time before, it was a fun time), his planes fly better than I made them.  I didn't fly very well but Beth, Ben and I sure enjoyed ourselves.

It was the best weather for that contest I have ever seen. The contest its self is a well run and fun contest. I flew profile on Saturday with a borrowed plane. I guess I will have to build a profile if I want to get serious.

Second day

I was the first flight of the day and scored a 536. I knew it would not hold but something happend I have never had happen before I got 2 40 point scores for the same maneuver from each judge. Matt Newman put up a 574 flight so ad this time I was in 4Th and knew I would need a second flight.
Of coarse I knew that anyway. Anyway I have been flying this airplane for years and have never done anything differently, so business as usual I fill the tank full and left the needle alone. It has been flying at that needle setting for months. To make a long story short I ran out of fuel on overhead eights loosing around 85 points. Well there is always next time. the P47 did win pilots choice and I thank you all that voted for it.

Great contest Allen and Charlie

Thank you Allen and Charlie for putting on a great contest. A special thanks to all the judges and helpers too! As Sparky said the weather was great, (really beat the 105 temp's of the past), and the fellowship was even better. A really fun contest to all that missed it.
 Thanks again;
               Larry
