Title: Davis Slagle
Post by: Ara Dedekian on March 16, 2015, 11:41:00 AM

In case the Stunt history buffs out there missed it, the biplane, 'Bibbi', on page 78 in the March Model Aviation was designed and built by Dave Slagle, 1st place winner in Stunt at the 1946, 47 & 48 Nats. with his design, 'Checkalaroma'.

His builds are works of art and he just converted one to control line with throttle via servo. We're waiting for the weather to be fit for humans to get it in the air.

If he ever went to VSC I think he would be treated kind of like a rock star! I know there are replicas of his Checkalaroma out there.
   Type at you later,
