At the recent Meet 'n Meat I entered classic, the first time I've done that; it was for a reason. When being judged by the same judges, I wanted to see how my scores would compare to the "big boys". Well I learned HB~>. I received my best score ever; 444.5 flying my Trophy Trainer. Out of 13 flyers that got me a cool 10th place ~^ ~^. But what the hey, Ted took first beating me by a mear 140.5 points. Sigh.

Happens to me all the time. D>K

Yea, I go to the NW Regionals and fly against the big boys. I usually consider it a massive accomplishment if I can get into the top 10 (happened once). With guys like Ted, Paul, Dave, Phil Gordan and others, I'm thrilled if I can do that. Keep at it.

You also have to realize that these modellers with, shall we say, extensive and prolonged experience, get a hundred bonus points for remembering that the contest is on. So keep prctising and you too will have the same "extensive and prolonged" experience. LL~ H^^

Have you ever been to a stunt contest?

well Brian,
It wasn't last place so your a little 'up' on the ladder. Keep up the good work. Do not believe that old proverb;
'don't worry. Conditions will change. They will get worse' LOL

In Classic, if you can't fly like the best...at least you can fly with the best. y1

Do that at VSC each year. But, it is amazing how the score will go up with a move in class. VD~ H^^

I surely hope I can eventually get to VSC while I am still able to fly! ;D
But for now I just have to contend with the OTS and Classic/Nos.30 classes at Huntersville which seem to attract multiple NATS and VSC winners in both........ I counted 6 guys at the last Huntersville Meet I could attend and there were 6 former "Champs" (some more than once) flying in OTS, and I could have missed someone!
Flying in Classic (now Nostalgia 30) I can get a reading on how I stack up. Now that I haven't been able to fly AT ALL for about 6 months, I wouldn't even waste the Judges time by entering.........
