Title: Dan Fogelberg
Post by: peabody on December 16, 2007, 08:01:58 PM
Don't know if anybody here has heard the news yet, but one of my favorite singer-songwriters, Dan Fogelberg passed away this morning of prostate cancer at age 56...

He was a musician's musician and I put him in the same league of Jackson Browne and James Taylor... will never see the likes of him again, I am afraid.

Godspeed Dan.

He was also one of my favorite musicians. Cancer is bad stuff.

Tom Kelly and Doug Livingston, with whom I played in a band, played in Dan Fogelberg's backup band.  Irving Azoff took the bunch of them to Los Angeles, where Doug and Tom have done OK as studio musicians and songwriters.  They had musical talent, unlike myself.  Dan Fogelberg's dad was a high school band director in Peoria.  I asked Allen Brickhaus if he knew him, but he didn't.

Go to a Urological Specialist once a year. Ask your family doc to recommend the best one in your area. (he will). You need to start exams by the age of 40.Thats you, right? Lastly, swallow your manly pride and don't be embarressed or afraid of what he'll do. (it aint fun). And DON'T miss an appointment.     You're welcome y1

I think my mom used to listen to him.  Was he big in the 70s or something?

I had Prostate cancer in 2001, Psa found it in time and surgery took care of it. Life looks a lot better now.  I can't emphasize a PSA after 40 more strongly!!!!!!!!!!! #^ Ron.
