...wonder what the cops would make of that mess if they ever pulled him over!  They would probably make him open the tailgate, whereupon a few small flying machines would probably zoom out of their own accord!

At least I don't see any of the junk Tools, etc were trying to load into it from Brodak's left in there.  I wonder if the zip ties are still on Moritz's luggage rack, though....

In a little box buried somewhere in the van there's an .010 high wing stunter. No pulse jet aluminum Mig or Ornithoptor today.  His Cosmic Wind Foxberg was out on the field having put in a few patterns at slow combat speeds. Too windy for his original design Vista so it stayed put in the van lashed to its wooden carry shelf. Which meant the conditions were windy and treacherous, even for our field. Otherwise the 7th place NATS stunter would have been putting in some five (and four foot) bottoms making the civilians gasp. Especially since some of us saw it sucked down and scrambled by one of the weird wind pockets that lurk where we fly. Took a bit to rebuild. No doubt Dan smiled through much of that process.

Hey Steve!

Yeah they got me the plastic tie downs would have kept the ugly free flight wing on my Corvette lugage rack maybe all the way to Philly, except I needed gas. The Corvette frequently needs gas. Sometimes race gas, given the sorry state of today's "octane." Had to break out my cutters to get the ties. Broke the four foot (very old) balsa wing in pieces, stuffed it in the trash. No space in my Vette.  BUT IT WAS A VERY FUNNY spoiler hanging out there.

Palko. Always watch out for Palko. Hard to believe I'm as ugly as Peabody.

That looks like part of that Piper-like pile of balsa bones that magically appeared under Brad Smith and Lloyd Gregory's  canopy one morning.
