Here is a video for those of you that didn't get a chance to see Dan fly the jet. Man it's loud. You can tell by the celebration at the end that this was one of the more successful flights. I never did get it in my view finder so it's out of frame a lot of the time. I just pointed the camera in the general direction. Dan told me he does not have a computer so hopefully someone can get this to him.

is that ducted fan??? No JET noise......
-
Yes, it's a pulse jet. It is a O.S jet which is about 1/2-2/3 the size of the Dyna Jet. It makes the same noise, but is slightly quieter and the pitch is a little different also. Even when I turn up the volume the noise doesn't sound like it does in person.
The airplane is an all aluminum Mig 15 from the 1940's. Dan rebuilt the very poor kit including new wings from scratch, tail feathers and controls. He thanks everyone who has helped him with the project including Bob Wilki and Jet Bill. Without them the project would have never gotten off the ground!
The airplane is a flying treasure like many of Dans' all aluminum aircraft. It is a sight to see........... Thanks for sharing the video!!

Young Daniel pretty much celebrates like that whenever he completes a flight.

Here's another shot of Dan and his MIG. I'd seen these kits advertised long ago and actually saw an F-100 kit. Getting one of these from the box to Dan's splendid ship is a real achievement! Dan also has the gargantuan Flite Streak (I forget what engine is on it).
Man what a club are those Philly Fliers!

Good job Dan. Sorry I was not there to see it. JET BILL

Another brief shot.

Bill,
The 200% Streak is motivated by a ASP 1.08 swinging a 16x6 prop.
