Title: Dale Gleason....a.k.a. OD
Post by: Jerry Leuty on August 20, 2011, 09:20:44 PM: Dale Gleason won his first 'First Place trouphy' in Expert today in Albuquerque. He told me a couple of years ago that when he moved up to Expert that his score automatically improved by 25 points. Amazing. Seriously though, Richard Oliver has coached Dale and has done such a fine job that Dale beat Richard in the second round. Congratulations to Dale. There are doubts that dale's head will fit in the Suburban for the drive home tomorrow.

Thank you so much, Russ Gritzo, Jim Snelson, Gary Marchand, Dick Perry, all the staff and their wonderful ladies for their incredible efforts in insuring a wonderful time for all. Fellowship, Friendship, Food, Hot Air Balloons, Pterglyphs, they have it all and share it freely.

We're home safe after eleven hours on the road, arriving at 0215, reminds me of the all-nighter HNL-ORD.

I've seen people move up to expert and get an additional 50 points per flight, but their pattern is the same. I guess it doesn't matter because the "expert factor" applies to everyone.
