Title: Daddy, what did you do during the war?
Post by: Scott Richlen on June 05, 2015, 07:10:41 AM
Cultural wars, that is.

Teaching young people to build model airplanes provides them the confidence to do things on their own.  It helps them understand that they can be self-reliant and dependent on themselves to think and create what they need.  They learn fundamentals of technology and develop fine motor skills.  What could be a better investment in the future?

The kids are building a variety of rubber-powered free-flights including No-Cals (a Free-Flight version of our profiles).

They get a Flying Aces pin awarded after finishing their third build (and each is progressively more difficult to challenge their skills)

Junior High kids - they're fun!

Great going Scott, you are not just teaching them model airplanes, you are investing in their lives, which will pay great dividends.  :)

You're welcome, Scott. It has to do with our controlled news media. There are a lot of good things going on around the world, but we never hear of them. That you are doing and posting about is an example of such.
