Doing some research

Now that I have gotten the .15 engine, I have to decide which .15 size model to build and put it in.  Out of all the kits I have put out over the years, I never produced one smaller that a .25 size.  I would appreciate some ideas from you all who have built a flown .15 sized models.  I do know that the Shark .15 seemed to be a popular one but would like as many suggestions as you all can come up with.

I really like my Sig Akromaster.
Mine has an Enya 15 on the front and I built mine with the FULL LENGTH shaped and notched leading edges
to give it more wing area. I just cut out a few ribs and glued them in place and that is all.

Flies a treat for me.  52'  .012" lines

If you take something like the Shark 15 flapped version as a base, bring the tail volume and moment to current numbers would be a very good airplane. For unflapped you could use the jr Flite Streak, again adjust the tail volume and moment.

As I stated before, RSM has a .15 size P-51 w/flaps, designed for use as a stunt trainer. When my UKEY .15 dies, I will put the LA-.15 in the P_51.

Thank you all for the suggestions.  Somebody asked me if I was asking to put out a .15 size kit of some kind and the answer is no.  This is just for me to have some fun with.  I am just not that familiar with the availability of .15 size models.

I have scored 500+ points with the RSM P-51 and won a scale trophy with another one. Both electric versions, Slime power should be even better.

I like that last suggesiton: a Jr. Nobler built light.  Would an LA-15 pull it (might be a bit much)?

How about this one:  Dale Kirn's Zeroette!  I've always wanted to build one of those.  Make a molded fuselage instead of a carved block fuselage.  Could be fun!

HI Mike, Somewhere about 2001 or 2 a friend of mine reduced the plans for the Barnstormer and made it a profile! I flew it for him the first flight and right off the board did the entire PA Pattern! It was powered by an LA .15 with a Muffler but not on pressure. It flew great! I bought it back from the next owner two years ago and haven't had it out as yet but soon! Like maybe this week if Maria gets out of here and quiets down the breezes!

It Even Does Octagonal Loops . Of course , if your a kid & you read the article , you have to try that !
Suits a feather touch on the controls . 50's with a .15 , 60s with a .19 or schnurle 15 maybe .

Use riblets half bay , and nose doubler . Basically a Flite Streak . or V.c.V. .

Peacemaker - why not?! You kitted it, Mike, and I have mine mostly complete (I'm sidetracked flying and repairing now, but will get it done). Everyone who has ever had one seems to rave about it. One thing though: the original spars seem the way to go! 'wish I had a contemporary .15 too. - SK

P.S. 'also added a nose tripler (cowl cheek) and will have to re-engineer a tank to fit.

Well just for grins, Brodak has a kit of a very cute little airplane called The CUB!  It looks for all the world like a scaled down Geiseke Bear.  I have one of the kits but haven't started it yet.  275 sq in probably just right for a good FP15 or LA15.

Supposed to be a really good flier.

The Peacemaker would probably be my choice for a Profile!  But then I hate "Profiles"!

     Hi Mike:

      May I suggest the Shark .15? I have flown these planes many times with a variety of engines and have nothing but good to say about them!

       They have been powered by the following engines and all have performed very well:

ST G15
ST G20/.15 both glow and Diesel
ST G20/.23
ST G.15 RVD
Fox .15 p.b.

       The plane has 270 sq. in. and flaps which makes it a very good performer.  Even with the lowly Fox.15, with a 7x6 or 8x4 prop  the plane was a treat to fly.  I used .012x52' lines that worked very well.  I flew one many times by myself by using a stooge to help launch the plane.  Kits are still available from various sources.

     Try a Shark 15 and I am sure that you will be satisfied!

Mike I have always like Eric's kit of the Sky Sport... looks easy to scale up a bit....for the mid size engine

But I think the Peace Maker mentioned above fits what I know of your casual flying fun...

Hell just get Robert Z to scale down a Stunt Rocket for you and scratch build a unique stunt plane

Better yet...you are crafty...take three or four designs you like and make your own ---MIKE'S Plane

Hell buddy Eric will cut you any rib profile you desire

If I may ask: what's your thought (and results) on the swept-forward wing?

They can go to higher lift angles without stallling and never tip stall.

I have published two other forward swept designs, the Toucan slope glider and Sky Streak CL stunt model.

But I was looking for something about Primary Forces,  and saw your 3 at a time Primary Force builds and was thinking Mike Pratt might have a scaled DOWN version
