Prather pitch gauge
« on: August 29, 2019, 01:21:57 AM »
Does anyone have a Prather pitch gauge handy? I lost the aluminum block that holds the prop and I need to know the height the  prop is off the gauge. Then I can make a new prop holder for it. Thanks.

Jim Lee sells a replacement prop holder for the Prather pitch gauge that is wider and more steady, just FYI.

I found the Jim Lee block to be much more stable than the stock one!

Kev, once you get another prop slider block thingy, you'll find the lost one, of course. There is a way to help prevent losing one, that has worked pretty well for me. I put the whole gauge and peripherals in a cardboard box AND leave a broken propeller bolted to the slider thingy. Works so far!  #^ Steve

Not to mention that it doesn't make any difference.
