Title: Current Project (one of them)
Post by: Leester on April 18, 2006, 09:06:31 AM
You probobly couldn't tell I got a bunch of pics. developed. Here are some shots of one of my current projects. It's a Allen Brickhaus design "Privateer" Built from a John Lowry short kit.
It has a 54" WS , 42 3/4" length to nose ring. I have a Silver Foxx 40 in it. I hope to have it finished in a month or so, by then my flying should be improved enough to handle it, and do it justice.
Current weight is 39 oz, hoping for 46 - 48 I'm still trying to decide on a paint scheme but it will be Brodak dope. <= ;D j1

Looks nice.
What is a “short kit” (vertically challenged)?
I hear John Lowery puts out some nice kits, do you like this kit?
Was it laser cut?

Yes I do like the kit, and it was lazer cut except the fusalage sides.
Normally a short kit does not include stick, sheeting, hardware or in this case no wing tips since you had the option of block or sheet, this also was a strickly plans built kit but it was featured in FM so I got the issue it was in for building tips etc. For 65.00 (I think) it's a bargan.
