Curious about the Fox Hurl
« on: June 19, 2016, 09:07:25 PM »
I'd really, really, really like to get some information about this all-American activity (some say it will soon supplant baseball), but a court ord computer virus prevents my doing internet searches, so I have a few simple questions, if anyone can help:

1) Can one simply jump in or do I would someone have to kis be approved by some jer vetting process?
2a) Are the rules publicly available anywhere or is it like playing cards with my Dad, where rules could change from game to game, or even during a game?
2b) Were the rules promulgated by one A-ho reasonable, knowledgeable and respected individual, by a bunch of duma committee or what?
3) NOT ME but I have a.... a neighbor.....lives right next doo down the street who secretly hordes a couple Fox .15s - are there any incentives that might temptt someone who didn't like me him to reveal his identity and what would happen to m that lowlife hoarder if brought to official attention?
4) To participate, is monthly meeting attendance a requirement? (I'm not much for "social gatherings")
5a) Are there dues involved? (Never get much bang for the $ - usually goes for the officers' beer)
5b) If so, do other members help out with that?
5c) If so, what's the usual percentage?
6) Would I be required to subscribed to a monthly print or digital magazine, email newsletter, daily/weekly summary or any other PIT official publication? (Those things are B-O-R-I-N-G!)
7a) Do local, regional, national or international meets supply food and drink (especially bar-b-que and beer)?
7b) Do more than 6-8 people attend these meets? (I'm not so much what you'd call a "people person")

I think I'd enjoy the camaraderie and festivities immensely (if they aren't very far away and depending on that b-b-q + beer part) so prompt answers to these questions would make it much easier for me to come to a decision about whether I even give a ra wish to pursue involvement.

TIA.

respectfully,

Terry

p.s. - email replies (worlds_nicest_guy AT curmudgeonly DOT etc) would be much more convenient for me than having to get online, log in and find a post or a PM, what with all the mouse clicking, scrolling and whatnot that involves. TNX

Swallowing a Fox 15 is difficult for some.  Hurling it, not so hard.
