Cowl hold down

Can some of you send pics on how you hold down your cowl simple please. I want to do something that hides the fasteners under the cowl. I currently put the fasteners on the outside of the fuse on either side of the plane.

On my Nobler I vent the cooling air out of the bottom center of the cowl.  I locate the cowl with plywood tabs on all four corners, and hold it down with a single screw in the center of the cooling outlet.  It's a flat-black screw buried deep inside a flat black vent, so it's hard to see.

I used a bicycle spoke on my Akrobat. It is very simple and clean. Not my idea.

I thought I had a picture of it, but I don't may try and post a picture here later tonight. But here is a very simple drawing of what I did.
A bike spoke is mounted behind the engine and the cap of the spoke goes flush with the cowl when you screw it down. Then I put a small screw in the back to hold the back down. You could maybe do a better job then I did but it works and no screws on the side if the plane.

Wow Claudio, what a fantastic finish you have on that plane, I like the colour scheme as well (What I can see of it), sort of reminds me of the colours of Kenny Roberts Yamaha GP bike back in the late 70's.

In the All Amp'd Up Forum I did a T-Rex electric build thread. I use magnets to hold the cowl on. Pics show 4 magnets. The detail of the installation is in the thread... on the first page. 
 

Key to any magnet retention is that the magnets will only provide retention. Lateral positioning must be provided by other means. Tabs on the T-Rex pics .

Joe Ann Fabrics is a good source for inexpensive magnets. More sizes and way less expensive than hobby shops.

You want magnets?  Go to Radio Shack.  They have 'rare earth' magnets.  They are about 3/16" dia and about 1/8" thick.  They hold like crazy.

Mine keys into the nose ring on the front and a couple of screws through the bottom like Claudio's on the back. Works.

But then you'd lose appearance points because of the pry marks around the cowl.

How many remember the old dress snaps they used to show on the plans?  I have never used them but, have a plan or two that does show them.
