Me, too! This Ringmaster built with help from my 10 yr old grandson. He can fly it (kind of), and so can my 8 yr old granddaughter, though she gets dizzy, I take over, she sits down, recovers a bit, then back up to it! Kids love these things!

I will dig out the kit plans and look.  If I remember correctly, The wing plan view was full size but there were no patterns included for the ribs.

Richard,
I dug out the Ringmaster Jr. plans.  As I suspected only the plan view of the wing is shown.  There are no full size patterns for parts.

Thanks for looking Shawn! Maybe someday I'll find a kit that I can trace the parts with. I have my retired one, but I'm not going to destroy it just to get templates, too much history/ memories.
Thanks again,
Richard

My little Ringmaster is lots of fun to fly.  I have it overpowdered with a Fox 19.  It is a real speed demon.  My 3 year old daughter claimed the model as hers before I finished building it last spring.  I just go round and round in circles for her.  I don't know the stunt pattern anyway.

I have only one Ringmaster left...........

I got the original Sterling kit years ago for a Father's Day gift.  I built it for a Veco/Allyn 35 and painted it like the instructions said.  Diana Cream, Red and Black!  Flew it a couple times and "retired it".   It hangs proudly on the workshop wall.........

What a great trip down memory lane. I just remembered when I was a kid 10 maybe. I had a Ringmaster. It was painted with Aerogloss with a Maroon fuse and metallic blue wings with a couple of yellow stripes. First time to the field it flew level but kinda lacked control. Finally one of the adults came over and said what's wrong kid. Before I could answer he said here's your problem, that 1/16 push rod needs to be bigger. I had a used Mc Coy 19 rear venturi, ring motor. It had no compression and would start once out of every 2 hundred flips. Thats the reason my one arm is bigger than the other. Yeah and even at 10 years I knew that was Bob Palmer flying that Smoothie there. Man it was great to a dumb kid.

To All who posted here

I haven't been in here in a while now, shame on me. you are right it is a wonderful trip. I had a "Ringmaster Jr." with a Fox .15 on its nose. I can remember crashing it so many times that the fuselage was no longer repairable. Did I retire it, HE** no I went to the lumber yard and got a piece of 1/2" pine and made a new one it never broke there again. Don't have a clue what happened to it? It's gone somewhere engine and all. Hope somebody is having fun with it I sure did for many years  LOL

"he's everywhere, he's everywhere....oh they call him the  Stre......" ooooooppppsss
He's the"G-MAN"!!!!!!!!!

My first Ringmaster ended up with two metal corner brackets bolted through the outboard LE to keep the wing on the fuselage!  Started off w/Fox 35, then a needle bearing 36X!  It was a lot of fun with a 9X8 and Missle Mist! **) **)

Happy Easter to all!

Yesterday I received a brand new RSM Ringmaster kit.  I'm thinking that an old Johnson 35 I have would look good on it.

Paint that Ringmaster with a Candy Green and gold paint scheme and put that Johnson 35 on it!  It will look great!

Check the head gasket after you runit the first time.  The head bolts *might* need to be snugged down once it heat cycles.

Have fun!

Oh the memories,  the first two trophies I won were with a Ringmaster and McCoy Redhead 35.  It was a beginners meet the Flying Eagles had before the folks moved us to southern Missouri.  I have a Junior Ringmaster that was set up for throttle control hanging on the hook in the dungeon.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday
