leadout material question....

I had what might be an epihany while laying in bed this morning. I was wondering why nobody has tried constructing leadouts for electric models with fishing line.
Now I know on the surface that seems crazy but here is my thought.
If you were to use the braided material that does not stretch.
Loop it through the bell crank and add all the major parts it goes through ie.. adj. leadout, a thimble,snap clip and then use monofilament for serving material.
You would build it just like a compound bow string.
And a compound bow put a lot of stress on the strings.
Most strings are dynema of some sort.

If you do a search you will find a lot of pros and cons on the use of fishing line.  So far I have not seen any data on pull tests and durability.

Ok, things to keep in mind are ..
1 there will be zero knots....
2 I am talking about zero stretch material.
3 They have to be made in a jig kind of like when some people do steel cables for handles to prevent the material from being too floppy.
No knots means zero loss from knots...

The AMA rulebook specifies all lines must be metal. For sport flying anything goes (until you need the AMA insurance)!

Well that kind of bites... especially since I would trust a bow string over any bent music wire leadout .
