Att ; Bruce Hoffman
CLAS President
Please accept the following statement as true and reasonable apology.
It was wrong of me to express a false statement of poor judging at the recent Australian Nationals.
I can appreciate how hurt, angry, frustrated and disappointed the association must feel given the consequences of my actions and any inconvience this may have caused.
I take full and complete responsibility. It was wrong of me to express personal dissapointment in my recent NATS experience as I did. I have been publically battleing sever mental health issues all year, with a history of Drs appointments and psychology assesments for the condition for Jan through to June 2017.
I regreted not packing my medication in the haste of leaving for the competition. I also offer this not as an excuse for that type of behavior but as a medical explanation only.
Please be assured that I have taken all the necessary measures so that this type of mistake never happens again.
I deeply regret it ever having happened at all and I am willing to not only offer this sincere apology to CLAS but also offer to withdraw my name and contest result of 4th place as restitution.
For public record . The 69th Australian Nationals was the best run contest I have ever attented in 30 years of competitive flying and its a credit to your team for its success. .
Regards P.J Rowland.
