Title: Control Line related drawings or cartoons from young Max Wimmer
Post by: GERALD WIMMER on September 16, 2019, 05:41:22 PM
Hello
My 10 year old son Max is always drawing , rather then watching TV or playing video games he would rather draw even has his gear with him at the flying field so he can produce a few pictures while waiting his turn to fly. He has shown some of drawings on the Stunthangar Hangouts and was asked there to post some here once scanned . Sometimes he persuades his older brother Otto to colourise them but for now black and white gives you an idea.

Regards Gerald

That is some GENUINE talent on display there! Most definitely see if they can be added to Stunt News, and too bad the hard copy is discontinued. This would be good experience and exposure for him and a start to a resume at only 10 years old! I would get some samples to Chris Rudd right away!!  Maybe even Model Aviation in one of the control line columns.
   Most excellent!

A lot more talent than I had at that age.  Shows a lot of wisdom also.  Tell him the old DOC say to keep it up. D>K

The boy is definitely an artist.  Not much money drawing model airplane cartoons, but other magazines like New Yorker, or syndicated newspapers do pay pretty well.  (Remember Charles Shulttz? "Peanuts")

A son to be extremely proud of. Max has a gift.

Looks like Max is on a career in the arts.

"Political Cartoons."

Max could be the youngest political cartoonists to come along in history. Has he tried political cartoons?

The money is big, really big.

I wish Max the best.

Charles

My grandson , Joe and I fly with the Wimmers. Otto is a talented pilot and Max, not only shaping up beautifully as a pilot, he has an old fashioned manner and dry wit that flows through to his sketching. He has ideas and thoughts that are far too large for such a young airframe! These boys - I call the 'Wright Brothers' for all the right reasons - come from talented parents. Alina and Gerald are accomplished model builders and fliers of note who can hold your attention with engaging conversation on any topic. Excellent hosts who make everyone feel welcome and relaxed, especially when Alina breaks out her culinary skills! Gerald carries the fuel capacity equivalent of a 747 in engine and control line knowledge in his cranium. We appreciate Max's gift with the pen, we encourage and applaud him, he go far and is already well on his way.
