Title: Control Line Mailbox
Post by: Robert Zambelli on May 31, 2008, 05:21:56 PM
Show people your patriotism and preference for C/L.  #^ #^ #^

This custom made mailbox will be raffled off at the Brodak Fly In. All proceeds will go to the C/L museum fund.

Hmmm?  Well, um, where's the elevator and pushrod?  I don't think it'll fly without those!

Sure it will fly without them! You just need to use more body english than you normally do for the more demanding maneuvers!
What? You aren't up to the challenge? Heh!

Its a great mail box. I wish I could make one and use it, but it wouldn't last long here gang banger central.

Same problem here.  My driveway is 1/3 mi. long and the mailbox is on the county road.  Mailboxes around here are regularly smashed by young hoodilums (must be Republicans).

Oh well. The price one pays for living in the country.

What I recall was that rural road signs and mail boxes were used for target practice, ending up filled with holes, and it was the suburban mailboxes that kids in cars used to attack wiith drive-by baseball bat assaults (kids not yet addicted to politics).

Thats pretty cool!  However, my wife would execute me if I put that out in front of the house.  That, and then homeowners association would descend en masse upon me and lecture me on how that doesn't fit the colonial nature of Williamsburg.

On another note, (hypothetically speaking of course), if I was a 15 year old punk again, there's no way I don't put an M-80 in that thing and blast it to bits! VD~

Instead of the raffle,  :-[ :-[ I've decided to donate the mailbox to the museum.

Steve - before I refinished the mailbox, it was outside at my house for over twelve years.  ~^ ~^
Exposed to all weather as well as road salt.

Two chances of that engine running: Slim and none.  LL~ LL~ LL~
