The Indiana Skyliners are right across the bridge from Louisville.  5 minutes into Indiana. We just attended a fun fly there 2 weeks ago. Nice paved circle and a grass circle for combat. Quite a few active guys. Search the member list for Wes Eakin or Michael Stinson and send them a PM. They'll hook you up.
