Control Line Aircraft Society of NSW 2010 State Championships
What an excellent weekend it was and well worth the 230km trip for me and my family. Although I wasn't the only one to come a long way. Russell Bond made a far greater 1370km trek from South Australia to fly F2B.
The weather was perfect and it couldn't have been better in fact for this time of year. The field was moist but firm and no mud puddles like last year. The temps were from around 2 deg C to about 18 deg C.
I am very pleased with my improvements since changing to electric flight.

Hi Warren, Cool P-38, do you have any information on it? Did you get a picture of the profile SU-26? Thanks for posting this. Mike
-
Yes Paul! My 57 Nobler that I fly in Classic runs a Fox 35 with 29% castor oil!
Michael, the pic IMG_2457 is the profile SU-26, (basic looking model, excellent pilot) the P-38 or Mosquito or whatever it is belongs to Matt Spencer and runs 2 x OS 35s, wingspan is 2 metres and it flies anticlockwise. Sounds great and flies well.

Congratulations Warren, 3rd in F2B Advanced and 3rd in Classic. Keep that up and they will boot you up to Expert!
Not a bad days work (FUN). I enjoy looking at pictures of planes to see the color schemes that others have came up with.

CONGRATS Warren, all & all a good days work. Thanks a bunch for the pix too - lots of good looking birds.

It was actually held over 3 days guys. We just had our Queens Birthday Long Weekend. (formerly known as Cracker night, because we used to have bonfires and fireworks to celebrate the Queens Brithday, but that's not allowed anymore lol)
Saturday was F2B Expert and Adv, Rounds 1 and 2, Sunday Rounds 3 & 4, and Monday was Classic and Vintage Stunt.
While we were flying aerobatics, on Saturday on the same field was Vintage Combat and Slow Combat while on Sunday we had F2D combat, plus Vintage Team Racing as well.
At one point on Sunday while my daughter was demonstrating her skills flying our Electric Baby clown, there were 3 x Vintage team racers on one circle, 2 x F2D Combat models battling on another, plus an Expert F2B flyer on the third circle all in the air at the same time. It was great!
By the way, Bruce and I are still the only two competing with electric powered models, but there is lots of interest among the other fliers, so maybe next year will be different.
Here's me flying in High Definition in round 3 I think.

Thanks for the great pictures and the little video clip. And Matthew has given up on the Folkerts? Or is there two of them? Beautiful flying site also. H^^

Great report! Who says C/L is dying.---"dead stick" LOUIE ;D ;D

The Folkerts! John. would you like a picture of the Crate of Aeroplanes . 1200 bucks to trash a years work. definately extortion . Shouldve stuck to motorcycles ? .
Id look a bit silly trying to fly what was left, tho therel be another built and maybe one for a sixty one day. All crates of competion grade balsa accepted gratefully !
The white device in pic is the Yak 1. The car took priority over sorting the P-38 ,just test flights there. Attrocious score in part the FP40 (mk 1). will reengine 21/40.
