I guess the correct name is now Airventure but it will always be Oshkosh to a lot of folks. There was a lot of activity over on the control line circles with a steady line of newbie pilots stepping up to give it a try. Not all of them were kids either. Here's a few pictures.

Nice pictures. What airplane is it?

Bratco Sky Baby with Norvel .061

Last weekend Dan Let me fly it. It was a gas. I had it going around in a 2 second lap speed. He let me fly it at full speed and the kids flew it at a 4 stroke.

Can Dan remember when he got Sean started a few years ago? Great pictures and it looks like everyone is having fun. DOC Holliday

Dang could not make it this year. Next year for sure. Work prevented it this year.
The engines are Norvel .061 the props are very flat tornado 6x2 and the lines are about 40 feet. The airplanes fly slowly and do pretty well in the wind. The motors run and run and run....
Art Johnson does a great job preping and repairing the airplanes.
He has some special tricks to make them live through a week of pounding.
Do you know how many people flew?

I just dropped by a couple of times to get some photos but I believe all those participating had to sign up so somebody probably has a good idea of how many budding pilots gave it a try.

The shot with Dan and the little tyke with the big grin is now on the EAA Airventure website.
