On another thread we have all bemoaned AMA's lack of interest in C/L & F/F. However, I just started searching various websites for contests for next year. So far I've searched seven different sites: (http://flyinglines.org/Action.html (http://flyinglines.org/Action.html), http://flyingsocal.com/ (http://flyingsocal.com/), http://www.kotrc.org/index.htm (http://www.kotrc.org/index.htm), https://sites.google.com/site/valleycircleburners/home (https://sites.google.com/site/valleycircleburners/home), http://www.aeromaniacs.com/Calendar.html (http://www.aeromaniacs.com/Calendar.html) and of course http://www.modelaircraft.org/events/calendar.aspx?c=&cl=none&s=WA&f=fly&t=CL&d1=1%2f1%2f2012&d2=6%2f30%2f2012 (http://www.modelaircraft.org/events/calendar.aspx?c=&cl=none&s=WA&f=fly&t=CL&d1=1%2f1%2f2012&d2=6%2f30%2f2012) and this one of course) for Jan-June 2012 contests in the Pacific Northwest/Southwest states. The results are dissapointing, only one site has an active 2012 calendar in place; the flying lines site has the Pacific Northwest 2012 calendar posted.
I'm not blaming any webmaster, they can only post what is submitted to them. I know that there are many C/L contests that will happen in the West Coast area over the next six months, so why aren't we posting them on the sites that are there and waiting? How many times do you see a post here asking when such 'n such contest will be?
Are we the enemy?
I hope someone will point me in the right direction if all the contests are posted, and I'm just not seeing them.

Yea, John has most posted on the Flying Lines site. He missed VSC, though.

I try to do something for the northeast every year, and the experience is like herding cats......
I think a lot of CD's hope that someone will step forward and relieve them of their burden.....
Most contests are traditional dates and events and a lot of folk figure that things will magically work out.
Have fun!

Neil Simpson has the New England Combat Schedule on his web site.
There are also some non-New England events and the NEST stunt contests on it.
I gave the NEST guys a nudge on the contest schedule early Nov.
