I had a great time as usual at Topeka. Weather was better than forecast, usual great food and fellowship.
Actually flew pretty poorly-no excuses and managed to hit a tree in balloon bust with no damage to airplane.
Still the OKC group cleaned up in the raffle which had many nice items.
Thanks to all the folks that make this fine contest possible.
Jim

This was my first trip to Topeka, What a great bunch of guys and all their hard work produced a great contest. Even in the wind, we had alot of contestants. I enjoyed OTS (One with an ignition motor) . I'll be back to all their events!

Thanks for a great weekend guys!

Hey, ask anyone you want, that tree had it coming!
It was fun to get out and fly, and meet new people/put faces with names.
Thanks again to the club and volunteers.

A great contest for sure. Most flying I have done in a while and I did not even fly PA. Worked on getting the Humongous trimmed on saturday, and flew the Dragon on Sunday in old time that had not been flown for a while. I generally have a few days before Topeka's contest to get stuff ready to fly. Not this year as we have had wind at 30 mph plus for the last three weeks. Hope to have stuff working by Wichita's contest. This wind and rain can't last for ever. Thanks for a great contest and a big thank you to Pete and Dale for judging old time again. These two guys make flying old time a real hoot, and we have more fun because of the way they do things.
