2014 is here and I am looking for a listing of contest.
Checked SN's and CLW. a total of about 4 or 5 contest listed. There are a few more listings on SH but a few of those events are just swap meets.
Please send in your contest to publications and post them in the events section as well.
Thanks.

I have been digging thru the AMA website and other locations and have found these contests so far, I have listed the contest, location, etc....
All of this data is for information only, confirm all data before traveling to any event!
Good luck,
Fred

Getting CD's to list contest is like herding cats......ask Howard.
Most contests are "traditional" and held around the same dates every year.....the issue is that CD's are getting burnt out and either hope someone else will do the job or figure that "everybody knows" the date and event.
I try to list contests on my web site...and require that both a telephone number and email address be provided.....
Another issue is that the Academy doesn't renew clubs on a calendar year basis, therefore insurance policies are not current when people seek permission from land owners to have a contest....this sometimes screws things up.
Have fun

If anybody finds out about a stunt contest, please send me the lowdown for Stunt News.

there are two contests currently on the ama website calendar that do not list the events that will be held at the contest. they list the date, location, cd name, phone, email and club sponsoring the contest but no details on what events will be held.
it is important to list the events you will run at the contest and make a flyer available to advertise the event. if you assume that everyone knows when the contest will be held and what events will be held then you miss out on getting new folks to come to the contest.
just my thoughts for what they are worth,

My thought is we are trying to make plans and will need to juggle summer family vacations, work schedule into contest schedule and then look at budgets and figure out hot to make it all fit. We plan out months in advance.
We need dates! o2oP

As evidenced by the bodyguards to the exalted leader of the JCT in the photos awhile back showing the "new" uniforms for the JCT & supporting cast.

I have updated the contest calendar that I have been putting together from this message post and other sources
Look at the attached PDF file
Please note that that this list if is for information only and is not complete yet, look at the color code to tell you if data is missing or incomplete. Verify all data before travelling or making plans to attend any contest
I have tried to include websites if available to help out
Also try to provide Events being held, contest location, sponsoring club, website, CD name, phone number and E-mail so that folks can get additional information if needed.
Thanks,
Fred Cronenwett

We are pushing to make the Wichita contest a success this year. Some new blood in the club, and lots of enthusiasm for it, since we didn't have one in 2013. We'll keep you posted.

The 7th Annual Worldwide Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon will the first weekend in October (10/4 & 5/2014). This event is not a contest but rather a celebration of control line model aviation as a hobby!! You fly a Ringmaster (any version) over the weekend along with others who are also flying Ringmasters all over the World and you report your flights to an email address for tabulation.
Last year over 2000 Ringmaster flights were recorded. The goal for 2014 is to record over 2500 Ringmaster flights!!!
Feel free to combine the Fly-A-Thon with your contest if it happens to fall on the same dates.
