To get to the top of any endeavor, one will benefit from a strong mentor.
That being said, Brett has been a terrific mentor for many smartasses.

Some where in back of a feeble mind--- I think I should get the joke about Buttafucco ---but seriously suspect this is some arcane long forgotten reference to a part of American history I was out of country for...   thus I simply do not get it...and suspect this lack of knowledge, forever keeps me...out of this elite club

Is this coveted top twenty "smart ass list" something a non competitive control line guy can get on?

Or is it such an excursive club that you must have the (FULL and unabridged with all amendments) secret Fox Hurl rules, AND be a Walker Cup contender AND / sport a clown suit -or hand in pocket - or wear a Tie while getting dizzy wind whipping?

Though I may be a CL guy of one in a 150 mile area, I suspect I can be competitive as a smart ass....but I suspect a lot of bias in this less than austere group....not one established Drone racer on the list...the most obvious growing trend in the AMA..

Fred...I'm sure you're a good fellow and all. Western Washington and Eastern Washington roots and such. I myself only came to the Seattle area at the ripe old age of 16, when Dad retired from the USAF and went to work at Boeing Commercial. Lived in Pullman for 6th > 9th grade, went to Wazzu awhile, UW awhile, etc. I've lived here in WA for all but about 10 years. Ohio, New Mexico, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, California...you get the picture?   

Besides, much like the JCT and BBB's (Broadway Bod Busters), there's no voting privileges that I'm aware of. Then again, my information packet may be in the mail, and plausibly delayed by bad weather here on the LC, what with massive snowfalls followed by torrential downpours here in the PNW, and that dreaded scourge, "rain showers" in California. The suffering in California must be beyond comprehension, so be kind to Larry and the others suffering such indignity.

Anyway, Larry is the "Commish" of Fox Hurling and also of the BST. He's the one you need to @#$% off. It's not easy, but needs to be done... Steve

  Not Uncle Bob, the correct appellation is "Bob's your Uncle". He's the nicest of nice guys, and has somehow fallen into the Larry sphere of influence after a lifetime of globe-trotting intrigue.

     His true identity is a closely-guarded secret, known only to members of the Hurl Committee, The Circle Jerks, and carefully-selected "normals". His former "handlers" deny his existence, or have mysteriously disappeared.   There are many conflicting cover stories regarding his origin, many people will claim to know the so-called "truth", but rest assured that these are just people who have fallen for the scheme.  

    You may have met him, he may be near you even now, but as a International Man of Mystery, he will slip silently from encounter to encounter, at best leaving only rumors and no definitive clues.

I have so far searched a lot of Buttafucco stuff--- and cannot yet see how, they as a acclaimed stunt team, BST have made any Notoriety... Perhaps the true membership of B S T is obscure and they do indeed have a world champ or WC winner in the gang...but this is becoming very hard to determine.
