Dan Banjok won PAMPA Expert for the first time at Brodaks, after having come close many times. Philly Flyers hail to the chief! A great achievement using his second best plane, a very nice flying Bob Hunt designed Mustang powered by a PA61. Dan has campaigned the Mustang for many years. He had retired the plane in favor of his original design Vista, a spectacular Saito 72 powered homage to 1930's Pylon racers. Unfortunately the weird winds at our home field sucked the plane to a temporary demise at the bottom of a triangle. (It is in the process of being rebuilt.)
Dan also won Expert profile with a P40 ARF. Mike Palko doing a second with an ARF P40 converted to electric. Hail to the apostle of electric!
Jack Weston finished high in Advanced with an electric Vector 40. Hail to the Prez! His Gieseke Nobler as always a hit in Classic.
Dennis Moritz (me) competed for the first time ever in Intermediate, doing his first cloverleaf (and complete pattern) ever in his first competition Intermediate flight. (Thank you Jack Weston for whispering in my ear... do the clover if you feel confident, just keep it high.) Big thanks to Jack Weston, Dan Banjok and Mike Palko and all the Philly Flyers, for teaching me mucho, making the hobby endless fun, and putting up with my strange stumbling ways. Thank you Steve Dinnerman for you know

... SEE EVERYONE SOON at the FIELD!
Brdoak was the best vacation ever! As always. Buzz and John were superb hosts. The Bordak Fly-in is a great event. It ranks up there with MY MARRIAGE! PARTY!
Tom and Alan ARE THE BEST CDs! Period. IMHO.
Great to see so many friends. Frank Carlisle crewed our effort at Junk Yard Wars. Special thanks to Frank for filling in while I got a few winks at the Motel and got there late.
Team Absurd won Junk Yard Wars again. Flying their delta design built from fruit crate wood that will NOT be glued, screwed or taped. It also is twisted, warped and splits easy. Nevertheless they flew ten laps, did inside and outside loops and inverted flight with their plane built in 40 minutes. Dan and Ted insist they did an eight. I DID NOT SEE THEM do an eight. But they won.
Best to my many friends in control line. Soon.
