Added 3-June-2017:
SEVERAL people quickly stepped up to the plate and we now have our NATs Trophies fully funded - and then some.  I have asked several of the sponsors to allow us to apply any unused parts of their donations to the Judges fund and folks are supporting that.  The CLPA entry fee is higher than many of the other events because the extra is used to pay the Judges for their time & expense to help out. It does not by any means cover their expenses, but it helps a little, and I think it is a justified THANK YOU for their commitment.  As you can probably guess, none of the judges is getting rich off this, nor does it even cover their travel or hotel expenses, but my limited experience is that they truly do appreciate the gesture.  The thought here is that this makes it easier to recruit judges and entice them to return again.

The money that we collect currently comes only from the entrants, but several non-attendees have also indicated they are willing to help out.  I did not really have a "channel" set up for this last time around, but this time around I am asking and encouraging folks who want to be a part of the NATs to make a contribution to the fund that we use to  pay our Judges.

Please consider stepping forward to make a donation.  Don't post here, send me a PM or better still, send me an email: dadamisin at yahoo dot com.  It can be by PayPal or personal check, details on that after I hear from you.

...and I THANK YOU in advance for your contribution and involvement.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
Looking for sponsors for 2017 NATs trophies:

The NATs consists of official (Jr/Sr/Open & Advanced) and unofficial (Beginner, Intermediate, OTS, & Classic) events and we typically hand out trophies to either 5th or 10th place (varies by event) plus a few "specialty" trophies.  The AMA pays for a few of the trophies for the Official events based on number of entries and any trophies beyond that and ALL the trophies for the unofficial events are up to sponsors.  Last year sponsors funded 33 trophies - my budget is for this year is 31 sponsored trophies, that could go up or down by a couple depending on the entry and the number of trophies AMA sponsors:

Official Events:
Open: Last Year AMA funded places 1-7, Sponsors funded 8-10
Senior: AMA funded 1st Place
Junior: AMA funded 1st Place
Advanced: Last Year AMA funded places 1-5, Sponsors funded 6-10

Unofficial Events (all sponsor supported)
* Classic Stunt: places 1-5, plus "Pilots Choice - Classic"  (last year we awarded to 10th place but did not have Nos 30)
* Nostalgia 30 Stunt: places 1-5, plus "Pilots Choice - Nostalgia 30"
* Old Time Stunt: Places 1-10, plus "Spirit of 52"

The 8x10 plaques (9 budgeted) are $17.40, 7x9 plaques (22 budgeted) are $14.40.  Sponsors who wish it get their names engraved on the trophy.  Sponsors who wish to remain anonymous will have their trophies marked as "Sponsor: Friends of CLPA".  ALL WHO DONATE earn the gratitude of the Event Director (me) and the trophy recipient!  I will do a better job this time of distributing contact info with the trophies so trophy recipients can direct an email thank you to the sponsor of their trophy.

Please consider stepping forward to make a donation.  Don't post here, send me a PM or better still, send me an email: dadamisin at yahoo dot com.  I cannot guarantee it, but if you specify what event you want your donation to go to I will TRY - but again, no guarantee that it will work out that way.

If there are excess donations, each sponsor will be asked if he wants to transfer his donation to cover the Judges fund, or another fund such as the  Junior World Team fund for 2018 - or a refund of the excess.

THANK YOU for supporting the 2017 NATs, your Event Director and PAMPA.
