computers, women an life itself
« on: August 30, 2007, 10:21:32 PM »
As you all know, we all have become used to having a tool that is now an addiction.Well no one ever told us that they were a little like women. Sweet but not lovely, cantankerous but not obnaouctious. Hard to live with and sometimes just not ther when needed. This in general is like most of our lives. I am not complaining mind you but I just spent the last few days glued to this piece of progress that I call junk. On Tuesday this thing decided it no longer was going to work on my behalf and told me yhat it wamted a better life so it needed a little rest-eration. So I dug out the Windows XP disks and began the process. This job always takes a couple of hours if everything goes right. By now you have already guessed that like marriage not everything runs smoothly.
I got everything programed into the computer and then started to due a photo and made a mistake so could not take full advantage of photo software and I could not backtrack and make it right. Also could not get back on stunt hanger. I think this was mostly my foult because could not remermer right password and I could not retrieve new one. So I contacted Bill Gruby and Robert and got that fixed. By then I am one washed out computer operater. So said forget it for today. I told those guys I was having stunt hanger withdrawels so they helped. Isn't it great to have friends in high places.
Next day I decide to restore computer again so I can usr photo software the way It was intended. So another 3 hrs and have everything up and runing again but have not got my net zero on so. I can take advantage of all the work I have done so I can write long stories on the Stunt Hanger forum.
Now that you know where this is leading to I could not get Net Zero to come on line. Again thid is a user password thing so I called Net Zero and come to find out I made a mistake in my e-mail adress. Oh well it's all in a week of a computer Idiot. Whoo Is Me. Fun isn't it. Ask me how I know. On second thought, forget it.

The 31st is gone forever,  hope they catch who ever caused all the trouble.  Been on the Barton site trying to keep from having withdrawals.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Well, sorry you're having trouble, Leo. What you get for using Windows.  I never touch the stuff, myself. It's bad for you're blood pressure.

No woman ever hurt me like Microsoft. And women have hurt me very badly..
