Title: Computer help pleeze, forget it, fixed!
Post by: Ironbomb on September 21, 2006, 09:40:55 AM
I have the SMF logo on my Stunt Hangar pages again. I cant get rid of it.  >:(

I tried to "delete cookies" on the internet tools, and when I select "delete cookies", I get another window that pops up with a yellow caution symbol that says" "Delete Cookies- yes, no". I select "yes" and nothing happens.

Same with "delete internet files". What else do I need to do to get the Stunt Hangar page back up?    :X :X :X :X :X :X :X

Thanx

If you can get to the page you want you can  "add" it to your favorites the delete the address you don't want.

Hey Frank, good Idea, I think I did that the last time, and it worked, I'll try it  y1 I forgot about that.

Leroy, SMF was a logo from when someone tried to hi-jack the forum a while back I think. I dont have remember the details, but where you have the Stunt Hangar words and eagle and flag, I have a stupid looking windmill on a blue rectangle that says "smf"

the scurvey dogs! >:(

Greg

EDIT: just tried the delete site, and refind on google. I get to the home page fine, when I get to the log in page, "smf" appears in the address bar as the page appears. rats >:(

Greg,
Sounds like something got wrote to your Windows IE registry. You can try to run something like Nortons utilities registry fixer or System Suite Registry Fixer, or Windows Cleaner. If that doesnt get it, you may have to take it to a tech and have them run regedit on it and manually remove it for you. Please dont try this yourself! You can do irrepairable damage to your system if you dont know what your doing! Computer Geek, Frye's,or just about any certified tech should be able to help you get this out of your Explorer. Hope this helps,
RG

Try www.ccleaner.com.  I have been using it and it fixes everything.
