If the CF is anything like CF used for tuned pipes, it should be ok in the compressor. I dont know how hot the tune pipe runs, but likely higher than the compressor.

It's not really the CF that determines the heat tolerance, but what epoxy was used to bond it. The cf pipes use an epoxy that is post cured to around 400 degrees in two or three steps.

In case that doesn’t hold up many years ago I had a similar situation and used a piece of metal pallet banding material. It lasted the life of the compressor which was about twenty or so years. I would hope carbon fibre would hold up at least as long.
