;D  WOW!!  God has given you a true gift ... the skill, ability and equipment to build such a wonderful project.  I applaud you on your accomplishment.  It is absolutely wonderful!!  I truly admire your knowledge and skill and can only wish I had learned such amazing skills.  Just curious, would you ever consider doing another one or say a similar sized 5 cylinder or even a 9 cylinder?? If you ever decide to or need to loan it out for a short period, please keep me in mind.  I would love to see it in in my hands, in person  ;D ;D!  Congratulations!!

I did not see any sign off ignition. Is it a compressed air display motor?

Yes, it is. It isn't actually an engine however nicely done it is.

Huh: that's NOTHING!  I'm sure some of you out there will have a copy of the British AeroModeller Annual of 1977/78, which contains an article by A. Walshaw, describing and illustrating his construction of a working 1/5th. scale model of a nine-cylinder Gnome-Rhone monosoupape engine of WW1.
Walshaw couldn't just build, he could write - the article contains such gems as a certain operation proving "laborious to the point of despair", while of another (machining the cylinder fins), "apart from tedium, no real problems were encontered".  For the pushrods operating the cylinders' single valves, he used veterinary hypodermic needleds "of frighteningly large bore".
I'm sorry I'm not in a position to scan and upload a copy of the article, but perhaps somebody else with access to the book might be able to.  It's well worth a read.

That would explain how he gets away with using a homemade wood prop that probably wouldn't be suitable for a higher rpm I C engine

Lots of people carve very suitable propellers for IC engines for both models and full size airplanes. His propeller carving isn't the greatest but with practice he could get there. It really doesn't matter if the motor is an IC engine or an air motor such as this one. Turn the pressure up enough and the output power will go pretty darn high. No matter what this is a great piece of work he's done.
