Totally nuts! I bet the building owner didn't know there was an open flame in that model?

It must have weighed next to nothing to be able to fly that slow. Anyone have any idea what the like engine system was, and its weight?

There are a lot of jets that fly at our flying site. When they crash, they always burn. Several wildfires have resulted....  This one was so slow, it might not rupture fuel lines and fuel tank in a crash. Might not. There might have been some scorched floor paint in the takeoff area.

If you go to the Youtube page they say that it is a Kolibri T20.
I figured it had to be, it has to be the cutest and coolest turbine there is.
Also the only one I have ever wanted to get ;D

Doesn't it require a special training and a jet endorsement of some kind for the insurance to be good?

Um, is it flying on one or more lines, with all the control input via those lines? No. Is it "scale"? No. Therefore, it wouldn't be legal.

I was shocked at how slow it flew. Also dismayed that it didn't crash. That's what I go to the R/C field for...  LL~ Steve

In 1944 18-20 year old's stormed beaches, and parachuted behind enemy lines to almost certain death.  In 2015 18-20 year old's need safe zones so people don't hurt their feelings.

I was referring to the jet engine not the airplane.  Would like to build a F16 with that motor.  Cost seems to be down from the 3 to 4K they used to be.  Scale does require the UP-DOWN be via flying lines.  All other functions can be RC.

Still wondering what it takes to fly it in an AMA sanctioned event.
