Has anyone ever built a Commodore from Ukie's Plans?

     I built one of these back in the early 90's,from what I can remember
it flew well,I think it came out at 46 oz's.I would look at the plan, you
may be able to loose some weight in a number of area's.OS FP 35 powered
it with a Magnum 11x4.5 prop cut down to 10.5,this model placed 3rd in
Novice Stunt and got me hooked on C/L Stunt,the two guy's who beat me
have both gone on to be good flyer's! "Two out of three ain't bad"

I'm in the middle of an electric conversion of an old Commodore I built back when it was 1st published in Aeromodeller in the 70's??. I seem to remember it flew a lot better than I could. I remember wood selection was important, weight could creep up very easily with the dummy jet intakes etc.. The canopy was a pain to mould (sp)? as well, I never did find a suitable commercial one to hack at. I think mine weighed around 47oz, flew not unlike a Nobler from what I remember. I've seen a few at various times but never liked any of the paint schemes, to me it only looks "right" with the default scheme used by Claus originally.

I have been in contact with Claus, who designed the plane.  I am going to the bank tomorrow to order 15 Euro Dollars to send for the plans.  He did advise lengthening the rear of the fuselage 2 to 3 CM.  He also said the plane was designed for a 40 and I have a new Brodak that will fill the bill.
