May 17: Randy Smith's Stunt Camp
May 18: Contest: Profile and Classic with combined skill classes
May 19: CLPA: In four skill classes, do not have to be the builder of your model. Awards, photos, and good byes…
New this year? Of course, need to keep you all on your feet:
• Pilot’s Choice Award for best airplane entered in the contest. Here BOM is in force. One of our very nice plaques for the winner.
• All contestants will receive a contest shirt, BUT this year they will be Golf shirts. Make sure I have your size.
• Some of our friends from the scale CL ranks will be joining us for open flying. We need more than stunt ships for the Triple Tree crowd.

The gates open up at 5 pm today, I know a couple Control line flyers are already there. I am packing the trailer today, I will head out for the long 1.5 hour ride early Sunday morning,
I will be there all week with a couple trips home to do farm work,,
Anyone within a short ride should make it to the Joe Nall , even if just for a day trip, , some say it is Disneyland for modelers .

Word for today , second full day of Joe Nall was ... HOT .... Good day to catch up with friends , visit the vendors and main flight line , get camp set up, models worked on under the big tent , great conditions to fly , just a little warm
we had quite a few Ringrat flights, normal first weekend crowd, a few crashes, models repaired and back in service in short stay in repair tent.
Several first timers showed up with models , a nice tucker special and a few ringmasters ,
Today's crowd, Dale Barry, Wayne Robinson, Bruce Jennings , Mark Weiss, Dave Wenzel, Will and Melissa Davis, and lots of visitors..
Cooler weather tomorrow, time for serious practice and Ringrat training , then a cookout tomorrow night for the campers and late flyers ,
the nightly light show of r/c models will get cranked up
-
Will, rumors are that the entire event has been cancelled due to crappy weather all week.
Can you verify?
Does this include CL?

Remember Chicken Little. I don't think a meet this size would get canceled. D>K
-
Yes, it has been cancelled. Check the Joe Nall website.

That sucks, but I do understand. Can't have a million cars tearing up your beautiful facility. I heard the grass is like a putting green.
Mother Nature wins this one.
Next year for sure.

Yes the JOE Nall fly in has been cancelled due to the expected flood because of many days of rain
It is official its cancelled
