Email scam or ettiquette?

I received 2 emails. There was no subject heading and the senders email address was a series of numbers followed by @.....

The first email read, How are you.
The second email asked me about Fox 35 glow plugs.

If someone emailed me please put in a subject heading and your name at the end. Contact me here.

If this was a scam, I suggest all be vigilant. I have deleted both emails.
