Judging Position

On one of the posts it is mentioned by someone of judges being lazy.  If you tell the judges where to go around the circle within reason, fine.  But, I have flown on circles where the wind was one direction according to the judges.  In the center it felt like it was another direction.  Even at the Ice-O-Lated last year the wind changed directions twice on me during one of my patterns.  I did not expect the judges to run 180 degrees around the circles twice.  Fortunately the wind was not that bad and the Cotton Candy handled it very well.  Now just how many of these people that complain about the judges not moving have ever judged a contest.  I myself will judge according to where the wind feels unless told to move.  Sorry,  DOC Holliday

Doc, I think the rules are pretty specific as to where the judges are to be and how far they are to move. This is new as of last year and even at this last Nats the judges did not follow this rule. Keith says it is a guide not a rule. Even though the rules say it is not open for interpretation some seem to think it is.
