I hadn't enjoyed reading a model magazine for a long time, gotta tell ya, excellent reports and pics, very interesting columns...
Loved the "Black Tiger" restoration and the "Who did invent control line?".
So much to read that I'm not through yet...
Thanks to guys at brodak and specially Nikki.

Last night, I saw the first issue of CLW that I've ever seen. Didn't have time to read any of the articles, or even to see that there were articles. But the cover photo was cool. Can't say I recall what the picture was of, but it was better than the usual foamy Park Flyer from Harbor Freight kinda stuff. Z@@ZZZ Steve

It's full of good stuff. You should have read a few lines.

Too superficial. There was some Adamisin stuff, but not the family tree I've been asking for. I think they've lost track. Too bad, because they are related to most folks in CL-- the important dynasties, anyhow. They are the control line Hapsburgs.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Adamisin story. I remember when Dennis was a teenager and a heck of a flyer. The Adamisin family was so into modeling that it was a joke that they could organize, run and judge the same contest that they flew in! Big Art was one of the best, fairest judges I ever met. He would take the time to explain exactly what he felt was wrong or right with your pattern, through his eyes as a judge. His suggestions were spot on. The whole family was the epitome of sportsmanship. I remember seeing Dennis fly the Magister and hoping that some day I could fly that well. That young man was a champion waiting to happen.

THANKS everyone. I felt honored to get to write my bio and be the cover boy. Nikki did a great job laying out the article, but I had to wonder WHO that old man was looking back at me! When I'm flying I feel like I'm catching up with the teenager Dick Pacini mentioned.
One unexpected outcome, I last flew stunt at the NATs in 1983 (!!) my daughter Julie was born in 1984. Thus the whole national competition thing is a part of my life she had never really heard about. She read the article and said she liked it - after stiffling a few laughs at those pix of me 150 lbs ago with all that hair - that was still brown.
Howard: its not the branches of the family tree, its all the thorns & nuts!
Aeromodeling is historically a family activity, and we have all encountered many families along the way - the Olsons, the Curtis's the Rudners, the McClellans, the Fitzgeralds; countless more. The Hapsburgs - they flew Carrier out west didn't they???
Speaking of families, I really enjoyed (same issue) Joe Just's article on the Johnson Family. The cycle begins again...
010!
