F2B Team Trials

The F2B Team selection contest will be held on October 7th and 8th (contingency 9th) at Scobee Field in Houston Texas.  This contest will select the USA F2B team for the 2024 World Championships.  Scobee Field is an excellent controlline flying site with two paved circles and two grass circles.   Entry and pilots meeting will be held on Friday October 6 at 2pm at a nearby site.

Anyone who might be interested in judging at the trials should let me or Randy Smith know of your availability.  The procedure is to submit to the entrants a list of judges that are available and the entrants essentially expresses their preferences.  From the pool of candidates, six+ are selected and invited to "come on down".

Recent rumors of the site for the 2024 WC have included Mongolia and the USA.  Stay tuned for more.

I think they had a WC of another discipline, maybe free flight, in Mongolia. Pics looked amazing!  Pretty remote for sure!

Yes, we went there in 2015 for ff world champs. Maybe the best field ever. Something like 8x25km of really nice grass.
I only heard that they are planning to organise a cl World Cup event in Ulanbaatar at about same time than the planned world champs, that's all.
It will be really nice to come in Muncie, it's been a while. L
